GRUNDIG SECURITY'S video technology facilitates "New Normal"

Restaurant and retail trade are visited more frequently again, travelling is possible with restrictions, and events are partly permitted again, albeit with fewer participants. Also more and more employees return to their workplace in the company again instead of working at home. The Corona lockdown, which has crippled our society for several months, is gradually being eased.

What does that mean in practice? It's still a long way to a genuine "back to normal". Our everyday life is determined by the obligation to wear masks, social distancing rules, and the latent fear of being caught by a second wave of Covid-19 infections.

How can we ensure that the legal requirements are actually met? And, what is to be done if this is not the case?

Modern video technology from GRUNDIG Security facilitates the path to the "new normal". Non-contact body temperature measurement as well as detection functions for the wearing of face masks and keeping the minimum distance empower those responsible to decently handle the risk of infection in retail, public institutions and industrial applications.

EXAMPLE 1: NON-CONTACT BODY TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT

A thermal camera with high temperature accuracy can detect elevated body temperatures within one second, and thus allows for preliminary screening. Therefore, thermal cameras for non-contact body temperature measurement are perfect for use in places with long queues, such as passport control at an airport or at the entrance of a company's premises to ensure the safety of both visitors and employees.

Making use of bullet IP cameras or a handheld model, optionally accompanied by a black body, GRUNDIG Security's thermal camera solution offers many possibilities to detect elevated body temperatures. For analyzing the measurements, GRUNDIG Security offers their Video Management System powered by C-WERK®, the ideal software and hardware solution for virtually any video security application.

EXAMPLE 2: POSE DETECTION FOR CHECKING MINIMUM DISTANCES

Instead of making video calls, people get back to face-to-face meetings more often. Challenge: In the heat of the moment, it can happen that participants of such meetings become less careful in keeping the 1,5 to 2 metres minimum distance. Solution: The "Pose Detection" function integrated in the GRUNDIG Video Management System powered by C-WERK® automatically detects the minimun distance being undercut. The instantly triggered alarm initiates an email containing both a snapshot of the scene and the respective video sequence.

EXAMPLE 3: ADHERENCE TO THE MANDATORY WEARING OF FACE MASKS

As in many other countries throughout the world, wearing an oronasal mask in parts of the public space is mandatory also in Germany. Those who want to go shopping or make use of public transport services, cannot help but wear a face mask.

The mask detection function of the GRUNDIG Video Management Systems powered by

C-WERK® guarantees the complete and easy verification of whether all people entering e.g. a supermarket are wearing an appropriate face mask. If this is not the case, there will be an automatically triggered alarm.
